What I do here

I sit between the shop and the customer. On the shop side, that means making sure what we quote is actually what we can build — nothing leaves as a surprise. On the customer side, it means being the person you call when something needs adjusting, regardless of whether that’s your fourth email this week.

What I know

Custom steel French doors — sizing, grid patterns, finish durability in BC exposures. Concealed pivot entries — when they’re the right call and when they’re a warranty problem waiting to happen. Emtek hardware compatibility with narrow-stile doors. Exterior doors for coastal and interior BC climates.

Why the journal exists

Because most of the questions I get by email would save a few hours for both of us if they were answered once in writing. The journal is that writing. Nothing on it is sales copy — it’s the same advice I give someone who calls for a second opinion on another shop’s quote.
